About Jenna R. Lauter
After graduating from Barnard College in 2013, Jenna Lauter began her career as briefer to New Yorkโs Governor Cuomo, where she gained broad exposure to state government management. She later worked on policy development, spearheading the drafting of the Governorโs 2016 State of the State policy book. After nearly three years with the administration, Jenna left state service to join a local political consulting firm, where she helped design and execute advocacy campaigns on issues like medical marijuana access and fair housing. In Summer 2016, Jenna was asked to join the Hillary for America campaign, and oversaw New Yorkโs out-of-state canvass program as the stateโs Deputy Organizing Director. After the election, Jenna joined the Womenโs March as a National Organizer and has stayed active within the organization as a member of the political engagement committee. Most recently, Jenna worked as an advocate for nonprofit organizations with Kasirer, a New York City lobbying firm. She moonlights as a founding member of the Resistance Revival Chorus while working toward her J.D. at Columbia, where she is a member of th LaLSA Moot Court team.
